Predictions about the decline of Christianity in America may be premature
The cross, and the empty tomb. Both Christian symbols are bookends to the Easter story. One symbolizes the tragic execution of Jesus while the other represents the Christian belief in his resurrection, and the claim that death does not have the final word on him or his followers.

Americans’ belief in God hit an all-time low about 6 months ago — here's why
According to a 2022 Gallup survey, the percentage of people who believe in God has dropped from 98% in the 1950s to 81% today; among Americans under 30, it is down to an unprecedented 68%. Up close, the trend looks even more dramatic. Only about half of Americans believe in “God as described in the Bible,” while about a quarter believe in a “higher power or spiritual force,” according to a Pew poll. Just one-third of Generation Z say they believe in God without a doubt.

Americans who aren't sure about God are a fast-growing force in politics – and they're typically even more politically active than white evangelicals
It’s hard to remember now, given the attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, but the day after votes were cast, one theme stood out: voter turnout. Every state in the nation saw higher turnout in 2020 than 2016, according to an analysis from the Pew Research Center. Overall, there were more than 158 million votes cast, according to the Federal Election Commission – nearly 22 million more than just four years prior.

Harmful Beliefs Deserve No Respect Even When Justified By Religion
Everyone can think of at least one belief system which is detrimental to human welfare. What I mean by "detrimental" in this context is that it leads to unnecessary pain and suffering. This does not mean it could not still have some positive attributes. But whatever positives might apply cannot make up for the harm caused.

Gallup: Americans' belief in God just plunged to an all-time low
Anew Gallup poll out today finds that the percentage of Americans who believe in God is at an all-time low. In 2017, 87% of Americans said they believed in God. That number has now dropped to an astonishing 81%, according to the group’s Values and Beliefs poll, which is all the more fascinating considering that the number hovered over 90% between 1944 and 2011, when there was no shortage of national crises.

The line between church and state isn't a suggestion
Rep. Lauren Boebert, a Colorado Republican, told a church congregation in her state last month, “I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk.
