I'm from Reddit, but I like this site much better. I do not like the way people often treat each other on Reddit..It's just too big and too much childish nonsense is allowed for my taste. People are much better behaved here and seem to hold others to a higher standard of conduct, which I think is important.

I completely agree! It's nice when you don't have to worry about trolls all the time. It feels more like a family. : )

It does indeed. Now,some of the subs are nice on Reddit and that's all I subscribe to,so I don't have to see Reddit's ugly underbelly so much. I rarely contribute to Reddit and mostly lurk. I lurk a lot here as well, but I do submit content several times a week.

I'm often hesitant to answer pm's on Reddit,as I'm never sure if it will be a nice person, or someone who will verbally slice me to ribbons. I don't worry about that here. I don't see trolls here either, and I don't see immature karma junkies with obscenities as user names.

Reddit does not even come close to this site.It amazes me something so sleazy as Reddit could be so popular. There is a lot of hate and anger there towards certain groups of people and I don't see that here either, which is a huge bonus in my way of thinking. On an ending note, I do not want this place to get as big and impersonal as Reddit, but time will tell on that one.

At first, the whole underbelly part was a huge selling point for reddit. And now that it grew to this corporate size, it's sensoring content, removing core features, anything that will position it better from a marketing perspective. They are selling out their users, and its bullshit.
