In the area I live in, there was a trend of people sharing around their sourdough starters, including some very, very old ones. It got a lot of people who don't normally make bread trying to make bread and of course, sharing their bread. Everywhere there was homemade sourdough - it was a great year.

Rye! A good sandwich with fresh rye bread is amazing to me. But I don't eat it that often because the fam don't like it.
Rye is my favorite and fresh baked Jewish rye is my favorite type of rye.
