Hey guys, As you may have read in this week's Dev Update, we are shortly ending the CQC closed beta and moving into stress testing. To support this, and to celebrate the launch of CQC, we're opening the test servers for all our players and hosting a series of events that we're calling "Mayhem". All of our current players will get access to the test servers next week, with the scheduled events starting on the week beginning September 21st.

Players have a new way to experience Elite: Dangerous with the advent of the close quarters combat (CQC) mode. The beta test for the new mode began yesterday and includes several new ships and outfitting for CQC.

I started inking the Elite Eagle Saturday. One more session two or three weeks from now to add some golden/yellow and it'll be done. How about you ? Have you done something ridiculous or crazy based on your favorite game ? BTW, Proof bellow.

Hi everyone, For this week’s dev update I’m going to talk a bit about the next Xbox One GPP release and about some of what we’re working on for the CQC Update (1.4). As we’ve already said the next big PC/Mac release is the CQC update, but as usual with these updates we’re expanding and adding to the game in other ways. Some changes coming in 1.4 will be to missions.

For this week's dev update I'll start by wearing my other hat - that of Head of Fiction for Elite: Dangerous. The core tenet of the game is for players to blaze their own trail in the game and the bulk of our development effort has been in support of this. The Elite universe is rich in history and offers huge potential for stories on a galactic scale.
