Craigslist Founder Gives $20 Million to CUNY Journalism School
Craig Newmark, the Craigslist entrepreneur who arguably forced the newspaper industry to change its business model after his website put a dent in the lucrative classified ads business, is giving $20 million to the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. “In this time, when trustworthy news is under attack, somebody has to stand up,” Mr. Newmark said. “And the way you stand up these days is by putting your money where your mouth is, and that’s what I’ve done.”

Man advertises $325 'empty' plastic baggies on Craigslist with 'free' marijuana inside
A Western Mass. marijuana entrepreneur may have put himself in a sticky legal situation by advertising his wares on Craigslist. As spotted by NEPR, several listings have popped up on the Western Mass. Craigslist page, offering "dispensary grade marijuana," competitive prices and quick delivery. Though personal possession of marijuana is now legal in Massachusetts, selling it is not. Gifts of less than an ounce are allowed, however -- and it is in that provision that the seller, who identifies himself as Corey, believes he has found a loophole.

I analyzed 10,000 Craigslist missed connections. Here’s what I learned.
As much as I’ve always wanted to be the subject of someone’s missed connection, I doubt I’m suited to it. Aboard public transport, my go-to facial expression is a stern, furrowed brow. “Solving the crisis in the Middle East, no doubt,” my fellow passengers probably sympathize, contemplating the task of fixing the world’s thorniest geopolitical dilemma from aboard the subway and letting me be.
