The former Beatles' drummer joins Bruce Springsteen in canceling his upcoming show over the recent legislation. Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr on Wednesday announced he has canceled a summer tour date in North Carolina in protest over the state's recently passed anti-gay legislation. "I'm sorry to disappoint my fans in the area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred," Starr said in a statement. "Spread peace and love.”

North Korean band's shows cancelled over 'anti-American lyrics'
A North Korean pop group cancelled its Beijing concerts last week when Chinese authorities objected to “anti-American” lyrics in the show, said a source with ties to both countries. The Moranbong band was visiting China with the State Merited Chorus and had been due to perform in Beijing on 12 December, but cancelled three hours before the show was to start.

Tool confirm dates for 2016 US tour, enlist Primus as opening act
Tool have confirmed the first eight dates for their upcoming US tour. The January jaunt, which the band promises to be an “unparalleled sonic and visual experience,” kicks off in San Diego on the 9th. In the ensuing days, they’ll play shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina.

The Who cancel US tour after Roger Daltrey gets viral Meningitis
The Who have postponed all the dates on the US leg of their 50th anniversary tour, after Roger Daltrey was diagnosed with viral Meningitis. The veteran British rock band had already postponed four dates due to singer Daltrey's "mystery virus". A statement on their website said, "After extensive tests the seriousness of his condition became apparent," adding doctors had "prescribed rest".
