German police raid BMW in diesel emissions probe
German police raided BMW's headquarters in Munich on Tuesday as part of an investigation into suspected cheating on diesel emissions. BMW said in a statement that it was cooperating with authorities. "The BMW Group takes the situation very seriously and has a significant interest in the circumstances being fully explained," the automaker said. Prosecutors said that 100 police officers were involved in the raids, which also targeted a second BMW location in Austria. They said the investigation was continuing.

BMW knocks $10K off electric vehicle price in N.J.
BMW of North America is offering a $10,000 rebate on its i3 electric car to customers of Public Service Electric & Gas Co., the New Jersey utility announced Thursday. Combined with a $7,500 federal tax credit, the automaker said the incentive would reduce the vehicle’s base price by about a third.

German shock at exhaust tests on humans
The German government has denounced experiments funded by German carmakers in which humans and monkeys reportedly inhaled diesel exhaust fumes. German media say the health impact research was done by EUGT, a body funded by Volkswagen, Daimler and BMW. Such tests could not be justified, the government said, demanding details. A minister called them "abominable".

VW, BMW and Daimler denounce toxic diesel fume tests on monkeys
German carmakers have condemned experiments they paid for that exposed monkeys to toxic diesel fumes. VW also apologized for a lack of judgment in a further case connected to the Dieselgate emissions scandal. German carmakers used the European Research Group on Environment and Health in the Transport Sector (EUGT) to commission a study with the aim of defending the use of diesel, according to a report in The New York Times on Friday.

A BMW built from 90% recycled parts broke a world record.
A hybrid recycling plant in California, has built an electric vehicle capable of traveling 1,600 kilometers (994 miles) on a single battery charge. This was enough to break the previous record of 1,298 kilometers (806 miles), which was set in Japan in 2013. The car, known as The Phoenix, is a modified BMW built from 90 percent recycled parts. It cost just $13,000 to construct, less than half the price of the cheapest Tesla.

BMW Denies Colluding With Other Automakers on Emissions
Following a report last week that German automakers have been colluding on diesel technology, including fixing the size of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tanks, since the 1990s, BMW said in a statement that it “categorically rejects accusations that Euro 6 diesel vehicles sold by the company do not provide adequate exhaust gas treatment due to AdBlue tanks that are too small.”

Two BMW technicians cost the car manufacturer 'nearly £1m'
Luxury carmaker BMW is counting the cost of a drugs bender by two technicians whose breaktime marijuana binge stopped production when they collapsed on the assembly line. The incident happened on March 3 but has only just come to light in Germany. Media reports said the two men - both fitters - cost the company close to £1million in lost production when they passed out at the Munich plant.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

BMW Motorrad Vision Next 100, the Self Balancing concept smart bike. According to the Company, the "flex frame" reaches out from the front wheel to the rear one of the BMW's model Motorrad Vision Next.
