This looks to be a caching related issue, we are working on it and it should be corrected very soon. Until then, please don't wait until clicking the publish button to select "type", and it will work correctly.
Got bitten by this one myself. Went through the popover, published, snap type was unspecified. May've been my mistake somehow, of course. My only attitude is gratitude. May I make a suggestion? Either give us the popup menu back in addition to the popover dialog, or give us the ability to double-click on a snap type to make the selection and close the popover.
Double click to close would be nice, I'm one of the lazy people who prefer to minimize mouse movement. If I can double click to close the dialog it would feel like less of a chore than it does now. Either way, I appreciate all the work being done to improve the site.
While the site’s busy, everything that requires round trips to and from the server lags. Had gotten in the habit of setting snap type from the popup menu while waiting. Guess we’ll see how this works when we see another influx.
