I'm just a young whippersnapper, so my first memory of using the internet probably isn't the first time I actually used it. As far back as I can remember, though, I had asked my mother a question that she didn't know the answer to, so she giggled, "I dunno, let's Google it!" I'm not sure if we ever actually found the answer or not, but what's important is that she ran off without exiting out (I think to go check on the laundry, or stove or something), and I crawled into her retro, green rolly chair and began to explore the Wikipedia page she was on.
