Snapzu, what do you do when you're angry?
How do you cool off?
For those with quick-tempers, how do you stop yourself from lashing out verbally or physically?
I'll start: depending on the situation I'll go outside, take a long shower, or take a nap. I'll admit that sometimes frustration gets the better of me and I've hit doors/walls. I'm working on that, but would love some tips for this as well.

Exercise, or meditate.
I yell into a pillow so no one can hear me.
I go for a walk or do a training session.
I tend to just sleep it off or zone out on something else. I've learned that the kind of people who most often make me angry are not worth the time or energy to confront (or the trouble I usually somehow get into when I do). If I absolutely need to tell someone off, I usually write it out but delete it without posting. It helps me get my thoughts in order and counter their argument so I feel like I've "won" and don't have to worry about it anymore without encouraging them to bother me more.
Definitely agree with the fact that some people aren't worth the time or energy. I've learned that for people, but still trying to apply it to coping with certain situations. What do you usually do in the middle of an argument? Sometimes I find it difficult to just walk away from someone, especially if it's to go take a nap to cool off.
Probably not a good thing, but I've dealt with a temper all my life, and thus when I get angry I tend to respond by getting angry at myself and internalizing that anger, letting it simmer for a while in me before sometimes trying to sleep it off or just forget about it. Prooooooooooobably not the best idea, I admit.
Completely get where you're coming from. The instances where I've lashed out usually stem from me being incredibly frustrated at myself for not being able to deal with a situation properly, which leads to more frustration, and just builds up until I do something to blow it all off in one go. Have you found any good ways to cope with it as its happening?
Make an utter ass of myself for the most part.
Make a joke and forget about it. Life's too short for anger.
A lot of good quotes, poems, and books that have helped me realise this. Also ones that helped me realise that it's pointless to stress or worry about a lot of the small things. Buddhism Plain and Simple by Steve Hagen is one that's helped me. I've also recently fallen in love with this poem by Edgar Albert Guest.
I cut myself
Time to see a good licensed therapist! Not necessarily to stop the cutting, but to turn your whole life around :)
... some tomatoes to put on my sammich.

I take a deep breath and start a countdown in my head. Basically try to focus on something other than the situation that's making me angry.
take a few deep breaths, focusing on inhaling and exhaling
Depends on if im handling the situation well or badly. If I'm handling it well, I draw, doodle or do tasks I can zone out on like Minecraft until Im not stressed/angry.
Workout, meditate, sleep, listen to music and zone out. Krautrock is really good for that.
