I think I'd best like a sonic screwdriver... and a TARDIS!

No amount of upvotes are enough for this. The Sonic Screwdriver is the most amazing piece of fictional tech ever.

        And the most OP...

        Except for wood

    A lightsaber!

Although, I would probably say goodbye to my limbs quite quickly.

      Han Solo

I upvote all Han Solo quotes as a matter of policy

I agree, nothings better than a good Han quote on a Saturday afternoon.

    The scribblenauts notebook!

    I WOULD BE GOD

I can imagine it would take away your humanity. You'd end up depressed. They never really explored this subtext in the games.

I would love to own Military-grade night-vision goggles that look just like standard sunglasses.

    Portal gun

I could place one portal next to me on the couch, and the other at the back of the fridge. My god.

Or, you know, change the world or whatever. Maybe later.

Oh the possibilities! :D Do you know if there's a maximum distance? If it works across countries, that would be awesome!

      • GeniusIComeAnon
        +1

Well, if it was able to shoot the moon, I don't think there is a max distance. Only a maximum speed that the portal shot travels at.

Dunno if it counts as a gadget but jarvis would be amazing.

I don't know, that still seems like a lot of set up. You would have to install him through all your devices, make sure it all works, you may actually have to be Tony Stark to use Jarvis.

An iPhone that makes coffee in the mornings.

An effing wand and the magical abilities needed to use it. There. So many perks and benefits.

Portal gun. Isn't that the obvious choice?

I feel like I'd die in the first 30 minutes of having one, based on the way I played the game. I think the shock absorbent leg thingies would need to be a paired invention to prevent most injuries. Anyways, here's my death a short while after getting a real portal gun.

      1. Portal on ceiling. 2. Portal on floor. 3. Acceleration. 4. Fall to my death.

Mine would be similar, but it would probably involve a penny and a major head injury.

...welllllllll...it might be interesting. You never know. As long as someone else was paying for the blocks I think I'd be ok with it. If I had to get trash on my own then hell yes. no ex-mob drug addled maker.

I always liked the james bond laser watch. I often find myself imagining having this to open cans or light cigarettes.

Definitely a time machine. I would love to see cities here in the US as they developed, grew, etc. Even major events in history around the world.

I'm going to agree with this but get a little more specific and say the Tardis

Agreed. I'll take what I can get.

Ever since I watched the movie for the first time. And yes I know it looks a bit odd but to have Mary Poppins Bag that can hold anything would be awesome. She carries it with ease so I assume it wouldn't way much even with stuff in it. Either that or the Bag of Holding. That would probably look a bit better.

James Bond's Aston Martin Vanquish from Die Another Day, cops can't ticket you if they can't see you.
