I feel like I'd die in the first 30 minutes of having one, based on the way I played the game. I think the shock absorbent leg thingies would need to be a paired invention to prevent most injuries. Anyways, here's my death a short while after getting a real portal gun.
1. Portal on ceiling.
2. Portal on floor.
3. Acceleration.
4. Fall to my death.

Mine would be similar, but it would probably involve a penny and a major head injury.
