Wow, what a way to go. I had a mouse problem a while back too, they kept sneaking into the pantry chewing through bags and leaving little poo kernels behind. We got the classic spring loaded mouse traps and managed to catch a couple, suffice to say they died instantly and humanely. I appreciate you mentioning the glue traps though... I will stay away from them.
