Not exactly one song but (technically) an album of the steven universe sound track now it is stuck in my head and i keed simging "what can I do for you tut tut"
My dad used to listen to Joshua Kadison a lot when I was young. I liked his stuff but didn't really take the time to listen to his lyrics. Recently I found the CD in my dads car and I finally properly heard his lyrics. That guy seems to havr have been through some hectic shit based on his songs. He also has an amazing way of painting a picture with music and lyrics.
Songs that specifically struck me:
Dragon fly wings (Begging for Grace) - such a hauntingly beautiful song, about someone he must have met in a mental institute and currently my favourite of his work
Picture post cards from LA - very sad portrayal of a girl who never achieves her dreams
Invisible man I think he's dealt with a fair amount of depression because this mirrors some of how I felt at times during some my experiences with depression.
His other stuff is really good too.
It's sad that he had such a short career. But I guess that may mean he just wasn't willing to release songs that didn't have some meaning to him.
I've got a sunshine indie pop playlist on repeat for the past several weeks! But lately, my absolute favorite song to listen to on repeat has been Dreaming by Smallpools.
The solos from Metallca's ...And Justice for All album. I recently got back into guitar and I like to get inspiration hoping that one day I'll be able to play the more intense ones. My favorite in particular is the one in Blackend.
And I love the clash of these notes played together! which occur several times throughout the album.
I've been very into "epic and dramatic" music recently - music used for television shows or theatre trailers, etc. Examples include:
- The "Oblivion" soundtrack by M83
- Everything by Ruelle (a band I'm pretty sure is just making music for the sake of licensing it out for shows and trailers - I don't even mind!)
- The "Insurgent" soundtrack (not coincidentally "Holes In the Sky" by M83 is my favourite)
- Banks, Tove Lo, of Verona - all very atmospheric, dramatic music

Stacy's mom has got it going on...
But if we're not counting songs stuck in my head, then Hot Fizz by Teminite. I'll never stop loving that song.

I'll admit it and say that I'm that guy who still listens to Let It Go regularly.

I'm not afraid by eminem. It's kinda my fight song I guess. I listen when I want to get pumped up.
I tend to listen to Taylor Swift songs for some reasons. Haters gonna hate.
Hunger of the Pine by alt-j
I only recently discovered alt-j and I love them so far.

What's Up by 4 Non Blondes thanks to Netflix's Sense8. I just want to belt out the entire song every time I listen to it.
Kendrick Lamar - maad City
RiFF RAFF - LAVA GLACiERS
Crooked Still - Little Sadie
Waka Flocka Flame- No Hands
Only one of those isn't hiphop (Little Sadie] because I've been in a hiphop mood lately.
