The culture may not have been the best, but it did have it's own inside jokes and references. I actually saw the post where that guy was in his attic (I think) and he used a banana for scale. There were plenty of these little inside jokes that I will probably miss. I won't lament too much over them because I'm sure Snapzu will grow into having it's own jokes here too.

That's what I'll miss as well. I was there nearly three years and I only deleted my account two weeks ago. I'm glad I got an invite code for Snapzu because after trying several different "reddit alternatives" this one is my favourite.

I'm with you, Reddit was always missing something for me and its new user posting policies prevented me from ever not being a lurker.

Right now I miss the small niche communities, but I know those will pop up here in time.

Sadly, Every community is currently a "Small niche Community" compared to reddit. :(

Which is why users like us need to bring folks over! Use your invites for good!

The simplistic look, probably, it just made browsing easier. The UI has a lot of flaws, but the simple look was great.

Yeah, it was definitely missing a bunch of features, but it wasn't at all confusing.

Im interested to see how Snapzu's interface evolves over time.

Mostly I miss RES features. Like the inline image viewer, so you could open an image without leaving your front page. Here, you have to open the comments link, then the link to the image, and that's kind of inconvenient.

Oh, and I miss being able to hide posts. Reddit automatically hid every post I'd voted on, and I'd also hide the posts I didn't care about, like pictures of sunsets.

I'm absolutely loving Snapzu! The only thing that is kinda bugging me, which could just be my not being aware of how to change it, is that I feel my front page doesn't truly represent my tribe selection and to be able to view certain tribes at all I have to actively go to them to see. In reddit, once I had my subreddits chosen, I seemed to get a reasonably even distribution of them of my front page. But it's a tiny lrice to pay :P i have posted more in the last 2 days on this site than I normally would have in a month on reddit. :D

When you are in list view, there will be a dop down on the right side to select "My Tribes" instead of the default "All Tribes".

Some of the good folks..But there are good folks here as well, so nothing really when you get down to it.

Probably the sheer amount of helpful content on nearly anything I need help on. I'll probably still use it for troubleshooting/info purposes, but I'll miss having all that info right in front of me

Some of the very specific communities. One of my favorite subs was one that teased my boyhood fetishes, that sub being /r/specialaccess. Black projects along with aviation fascinate me, and while it was slow there were some great reads there. I recently created /t/specialaccess to port it to here (sorry for the plug), and I might hit the mods up on reddit to get a little help to get things rolling here.
