I'm gonna upvote you for that one, but voluntarily sitting out in the cold with the wind stealing all of the heat from your body ranks in my top ten list of activities to avoid. Fishing in the summer, with the sun just peeking over the horizon, now that's my idea of paradise.
You can always go all out and fish in one of these! I however really enjoy sitting out there in nature, dressed warm and enjoying the magnificent view while I pull fish out of a hole and watch it flop around the ice for a few seconds before it becomes dinner :)
There's no more magnificent view than nature in full bloom of life during the spring and summer. Winter is cold and dead. Give me warm weather any day. ;)
Each season has it's pros and cons I guess. I really love winter and the absolute silence it brings, you can just sit out there and enjoy the wild. Sometimes a wolf or coyote will walk across the ice, it's an amazing sight.
Im gonna go ahead and say ice fishing. The best lazy man's sport in the world.
