The gap between the rich and the poor is getting increasingly bigger, and our technology driven world will truly be accessible to those who can afford it meaning that very quickly it will not only be a financial gab but also a technological one.

For all the progress we've made it's so easy to give in to fear and false promises of security, just so long as we let the person making those promises decide where we go from here.

The speed with which things get updated and replaced. Used to be you would by a couch, wear it out and replace it. Now it seems that people are changing their furniture as they do their clothes. And then there is technology. I'm only on my second mobile phone (after being nagged to get a smartphone by my son). People seem to change those every year or two. Everything is "fashionable" so it must be purchased or you will be out of date.

The world is making far too much rubbish.

I choose not to keep up with the Jones's, and think that charity shops are great. The British Heart Foundation have a massive shop dedicated to furniture. Fantastic place!
