It took me over a week to receive a Snapzu Invite Code.

Me too! I was worried they had forgotten about me.

Snapzu looks quite different than Reddit or Voat...I'll give it a whirl and see how it goes. I'm hoping that ultimately there will be a Reddit like site that is donation-only instead of for-profit...that would keep the spam and the need to censor commentary to a minimum.

I had fun with two USB-powered fans plugged on the PC, and was cooled by the gentle breeze these two silent fans provided me in the hot and humid office environment, when my phone told me it needed to be charged. Looking around, it was with dismay and despair that I came to the conclusion that I had no more USB slots.

I actually said "first world problem" to my colleague as I unplugged one of the fans.

I'm shopping Amazon's Prime Day sales for a new Kindle. My current Kindle has a little bright pixel on it that I'm too lazy to call the support line about. If I get it, it will be my 7th Kindle from amazon. I just keep buying new ones whenever I get bored with the old one.

Please consider buying one nice tablet (7 kindles * 80 dollars = 560 dollars = very decent tablet). Overconsumption of throwaway technology causes so many problems...

The 7 Kindles don't reflect that I already own two iPads, two android tablets, one windows tablet.

(no worries. I responsibly donate all my old stuff to local non-profits)

He can just get the HDX. However, it seems like the utility is not the tablet itself, but purchasing and receiving a new item in the mail. Perhaps customizing it is fun too.

I understand, OP. I am also an Amazon addict.

This is not so much recent as it is everyday but hey. No matter how hard I try, no matter how careful I move or what way I tilt the mug/flask, my tea always manages to find a way to launch itself out of it's container. It burns.

Sounds like somebody needs a sippy cup.

That's OK, you just need to own it.

Go get yourself the most radical sippy cup the world has ever known.

I misplaced one of my favorite fountain pens (a Pilot 78G).

All I have been able to find is the little top that used to keep the metal clip in place, broken in two.

I hope it's at home, but I don't know for sure.

I don't know who you are or where you are, but I have special friends and abilities, and if I find that you hurt my fountain pen, you'd better die soon, or I'll kill you myself.

I often run into spiderwebs on my neighborhood nature trail.

I could be in the middle of a group of people and nowhere near something that would hold it up and I would still be the only one to get hit by the web. I end up thrashing around like an idiot while everyone glances at me like I'm crazy.

There was a web OK?! I understand you were walking in front of me, I still got hit and I don't know why you didn't.

My cousin gave me so much crap for saying this. I made a pizza that I thought was so good that I texted him, "I can't wait to be hungry again so I can eat more."

Someone made a post I didn't like on Snapzu and it got upvoted. My life is so hard, I know. Please, praise my willingness to compromise more.

I recently got a car that shows my MPG for that trip every time I turn off the car. My first world problem is that I live so close to my workplace that the MPG for each trip is much lower than the 'city' average for my car model.

Couldn't you bike to your work instead then? Saves a lot on gas.

I forgot my coffee on the counter on my way to work, so I had to run to a coffee shop and pick a cup up.

I left my phone charger at work and couldn't be reached for a full day... wasn't really a problem... actually it was awesome for me, just sucks when you finally charge your phone and everyone is pissed that they couldn't reach you immediately.

My car has bluetooth that automatically connects to my phone and starts playing music off my Spotify account. But ever since I upgraded to Android 5.0, my bluetooth stopped working properly. Now every time I get in my car, I have to select bluetooth from my car, then look at my phone to open Spotify, and then start playing music from my phone so my car actually connects to it. It's such a pain in the butt. I've tried installing bluetooth connector apps to fix it, but they haven't really helped. It's the worst.

my wife and I are dealing with infertility. its more emotional for her than my by far. BUt we have to travel 150 miles to see the docs. So its leave at 5am, appt., drive home, go to work. None of it is covered by insurance either so out of pocket.

The traveling sucks, i havent been fishing in weeks, and while the cost isnt making us miss a meal or anything is is cutting into my amazon budget.

Thats about as first world as it gets.

Paying and travelling far for medical care is less first world Tha it seems. The reason is pretty first world though.

The only places I've had to pay for medical care were developing places xD (but I'm by no means "travelled" extensively)

I hope that its not long before you guys get lucky! Remember there is a much higher chance of multiples through fertility treatment; that will certainly cut into your fishing and amazon budget ;)

The doc claims the chances of multiples with an insemination arent any higher. Same with IVF unless the put muliple fertilized eggs into the uterus. But who knows. Even if we had twins i wouldnt be mad, just get the breeding phase out of my wife quicker!

Im more a proponent of adoption, but ive been outranked there.

        • Qukatt
          +1

Haha, it most certainly is higher xD mind you it might be anecdotal.

Yeah adoption is good! And still an option if she gets fed up of the fertility treatments. Anecdotally again, adoption is an excellent fertility treatment. So many women getting pregnant after adopting. I figure its the sudden lack of stress and stuff.

I expected a usb sound card to just work when I plugged it in. Nope, you have to go to sound and select it.

A person I really enjoy being around wanted to go for a beer today. Now I had a really enjoyable evening instead of playing games - even though my family is out of the house this week!

I locked myself out of my tablet, so now I'm thinking of just buying a new one.

If I could remember the swipy pattern, it'd be fine! But I can't, so I will save two paychecks just getting a new one.

I rebuy some games on my PS4 that I already own on my PS3 because I'm too lazy to switch HDMI cords to play them and want to keep my Wii U connected into the free HDMI slot. My life is tragic.

I think that an HDMI switch might have been cheaper, depending on the games.
