So if you delete your account all your posts vanish?
Not that I'm going to do that but I noticed someone gone and all their posts gone too. I mean, it's good in some ways, in that if you want to sever all ties everything you ever posted is gone. On the gripping hand, one of the ways I use snapzu is to bookmark interesting websites both when I find them and when I see what other people have found. But this means those posts can disappear, which I wasn't expecting.

It's certainly different from the policies at Facebook and their subsidiaries like Instagram and such, where they own everything you do there. I think Snapzu got it right about account deletions. Our hosts are nothing if not deeply principled and fair. Facecrook's trademark usury isn't their style.
Yeah, the "owning everything you do there" really does bother me.
The short answer is yes, absolutely. We respect your privacy at Snapzu, and decided that if you want out, for whatever reason, we are going to make it as simple as possible to do just that. Of course there will be some downsides to this approach, but we feel the positives outweigh the negatives in this situation. Sorry to hear you lost some of your bookmarks.
Not that I plan on leaving or anything, but I really appreciate this decision by you all. User privacy is an important topic for me, so I'm glad to hear Snapzu's looking out for it!
I see and appreciate the benefits. Although there were some nice bookmarks. :-(
What about comments? Is the tree lost or just the comment itself?
This is an interesting question, and I'm anxious to read the answer.
