Not spazzing out for the first time in about a week that my girlfriend's new car, with the dealer tags still on it and $4000 worth of her work equipment in the trunk, was stolen. Insurance should cover the cost of the car, but we found out the hard way that the stuff in the car is covered by homeowner's/renter's insurance - which we don't have. Hooray. Insure your shit, people. It seems pointless ...until life happens.

Hiked 16 miles under a heavy pack, despite occasional heavy rains, swarms of mosquitoes, uphill sections in sand and some grumpy teenaged companions. Sounds awful when I put it that way, but it was 1000% worth it.

Sand sucks when hiking. I did my basic at Ft Dix and yeah it sucked.

I made it up to the top of a summit in the Old Cascades with a 3-year-old and a 6-year-old (and we all survived). It was a freaking hot day, too!

Got a 94 on an accounting test, a 96 and a 100 on a couple of business law tests and got about half-way through writing a term paper. The achievement isn't in the scores, it's in actually accomplishing what I set out to do today. (I tend to procrastinate).

Congrats. I know the struggle. I've gained over 50 pounds since freshman year and still havent found the motivation to get myself back under 200

Nothing too big but I completed my Camp Nanowrimo word goal and got my first certificate. After four years, I finally succeed in doing an Nanowrimo. Might be the small one but the feeling is great.

Driving Montreal/Toronto and Toronto/Montreal on a manual transmission without stalling once. I have over 150 000km (93600 miles) of driving under my belt, but that was all in automatic cars. Took my godmother's car for a trip to Toronto for the Vans Warped Tour and managed it like a champ!

Nothing really impressive more odd in the middle of the night activities.

It's been too bloody hot for anything in the last few days.

For some reason at 3 am I made a 5 bean salad in a half asleep state.

An edible five bean salad at that.

    5 types of beans

    3 chopped green onions

    4 shredded small carrots

    a dash of red salt

    a dash of pepper

a little olive oil and lemon juice

A dash of fresh chopped dill, Italian parsley and rosemary

I also made a small batch, about a litre, of gingered mead which I'll know if its any good after fermentation.

I do odd things in the middle of the night without knowing why.

    Just made this

Not done with it yet, still have to do the roof shingles, windows, and door. But I'm happy I got so much done so fast and it's looking pretty good.
