If you're looking to get a little more exercise in you could try doing some sort of quick aerobic activity when the commercials come on. I would do this as a kid since I needed to get my endurance up for karate. I would usually do something like jumping jacks. Other things you could try are squats, planks, and lunges. It's a nice little interval exercise to get you moving a little more than usual.
