While kicking a cop in the nuts is not something you should do and not expect them to react, however with that being said the cop should have been way more professional. From what I can see she is well restrained and he was in full control of the situation. Even with the shock of being kicked he has to hold himself to a higher standard and be in better control of his emotions. That is what the city and citizens, expect from him and all police officers.
Exactly this. She shouldn't have tried to throw a kick. You pretty much lose any credibility in terms of police abuse if you're also trying to abuse the police. Yes, the officer should have had better control of the situation and more restraint rather than to get pissed and retaliate.
The force used was not necessary. It was used in a way meant to be a punishment, not to restrain or control a suspect. Despicable.
Meh. This is going to be thrown out with the quickness. First of all the teen was intoxicated, violent, and was clearly shown hitting the copy. Plus the "long term" medical issues seem pretty vague.
Yeah I don't think I can side with the cop on this one.
She's 110 pounds. Don't kick a cop in the balls, but he obviously reacted rashly, not in a way to neutralize her. And support was available very quickly. He could have easily asked for help to safely restrain her further.

Did you watch the video? The pig's actions were totally unnecessary. The "don't mess with me because I'm a cop and don't have to follow the same laws as you" bullshit needs to end yesterday. If someone tried to kick me and I did that to them, I would be arrested and charged with battery. This is what needs to happen to the cop, they need to follow the same laws as us...actually, they need to be held to a higher standard, not a lower one. The very fact that we hold cops to a lower standard should be offensive to cops, but they are too stupid to realize it.
This in a supposedly civilised society. Shame on them both.
