Why Cereal Has Such Aggressive Marketing
Breakfast is often lauded as “the most important meal of the day.” What is less commonly mentioned is the origin of this ode to breakfast: a 1944 marketing campaign launched by General Foods, the manufacturer of Grape Nuts, to sell more cereal. During the campaign, which marketers named “Eat a Good Breakfast—Do a Better Job,” grocery stores handed out pamphlets that promoted the importance of breakfast while radio advertisements announced that “Nutrition experts say breakfast is the most important meal of the day.”

Next we need is some toilet manufacturer to market the "most important shit of the day". Other options come to mind but they're even more NSFW.
If you listen to ads it's your own fault if you end up believing bullshit. One of my favorite quotes from Kafka is "I do not read advertisements, I would spend all my time wanting things". He was actually rather optimistic there.
P.S. Kafka sounding optimistic gives you an idea how screwed we are.
I always muted ads as a kid and throughout life. I've always hated them and I still do.
Kids don't buy food. Parents do. 30-50 years should be enough time to learn what is healthy and what is not. There's no excuse.
Adults need to be adults and tell their kids "no", when asked for unhealthy food.
