You can't really have it both ways, though, you can't say they aren't allowed in my country if they wear hijabs or niqabs and then turn around complain because they want you to wear one in a country where Islamic law is the law.
On the other hand, having a women's anything tournament in a country that doesn't have freedoms for women is a bit odd, IMO, are there a lot of chess playing women in Iran?
