Female chess players forced to wear hijab as governing body awards world championship to Iran
The world's top female chess players have reacted with horror after being told they must compete at next year's world championship wearing a hijab.

You can't really have it both ways, though, you can't say they aren't allowed in my country if they wear hijabs or niqabs and then turn around complain because they want you to wear one in a country where Islamic law is the law.
On the other hand, having a women's anything tournament in a country that doesn't have freedoms for women is a bit odd, IMO, are there a lot of chess playing women in Iran?
Shouldn't be hard to find a new venue.
