To be fair... if you're willing to shoot and kill former coworkers on live TV, then kill yourself (sloppy, died in hospital after the attempt)... you're showing some pretty serious mental issues. All the boldness shows is he somehow thought he was completely justified... which makes me wonder why he killed himself. Guilt as reality set it? Knowing that the rest of his life is fucked so might as well end it? Odd to be irrationally convinced you're doing the right thing then be suicidal.

Please note that I do not endorse the following line of thought, I'm just speculating as to a possible mindset.

If you think your life has been ruined by somebody and you were going to commit suicide anyway since you have nothing left to live for, why not take them with you?

Possible, I suppose. If he hadn't recorded/bragged about it on Twitter, I'd say you're right, but who knows. Irrational people are irrational.

I don't mean to sound so jaded, but, well, I kinda am. As an American, this shit is absurdly common, and there's never any meaningful attempt to address it. At best we pass some gun control law that actually does very little, while you can still get your lettuce, condoms, and firearms all from your friendly neighborhood Walmart.
