Every phone I've had since my Blackberry Curve has been a 'charge daily' thing. I miss the days of phones you didn't have to constantly feed- that you could rely on to survive a week without running for a plugin. Sure, they do a lot more now than they used to, but it's still nice.

Been waiting for the Onyx to be made available in the states, but haven't seen them yet. Two weeks on a charge? Awesome.

Think I'll pick one up once they're available in the States.

A simple breakout battery technology will change that. But when!!!???

Difficult to tell. While I'm sure there's plenty of evolutionary changes to batteries still to come, there's really going to be no massive change in charge or capability for a while. A lot of the problem is energy density. you can only put so much power in one spot before it begins to look and act like a bomb.
