The siltation predicted and actual siltation since its building is a large discrepancy and it almost failed in the 80's. Some claim the siltation will clog up the dam within the coming 100 years. Others say the glen canyon damn needs to go now.
Dams just fascinate me in general but this is one of my favorites.
