Do intelligent aliens exist somewhere out there in the universe? It is a grand mystery that has captivated humans for generations, fueling ever-more sophisticated searches of the skies for signs of advanced civilizations. But while aliens have taken many forms in our imaginations—from hostile invaders to inscrutable ciphers—we have absolutely no idea what extraterrestrial life-forms might look like, how they would communicate, or even if they exist at all.

Good paper...I feel it depends on the humans,with some running amuck,others not so much.
What if extraterrestrial life already has been discovered, many years ago, and the growing number of stories like this, the start of a Space Force and the declassifying of numeral videoclips of UAP's (formerly known as UFO's) and more and more people from governments around the world telling their stories, is just a massaging in of the idea that it already happened? And that this way of slowly getting used to it (marinade?), is the preferred tactic of all governments in the world, but they do not tell the general public? I mean, wouldn't that be a blast? That most of the conflicts are done for the fuck of it and are all about distraction? And, maybe, there's already a years-long intense contact with extraterrestrials on the level of "calling-your-homie-on-your-smartphone"? I would feel betrayed somehow. :-)
