Why Netflix is about to bump up prices
Netflix's content costs are increasing on seemingly every front: acquisition, creation, and distribution. Even though the battle is heating up with Amazon.com and Netflix would like to keep its prices low, you have to wonder if Netflix can keep the cost of a subscription at its current level. Personally, I think Netflix is a great service and would pay a bit more than 8 dollars a month for the streaming service.
As long as netflix continues to create original programming, and provides a good service I am willing to pay a bit extra also...
Yeah, I agree. Netflix keeps putting out original programming, keeps the number and variety of movies and TV shows high, then it would be worth it.
I dunno, I would almost be willing to drop Netflix if it gets more expensive... I find it to be worth little more than a TV-episode catcher upper, as it were, and since I deplore television there is nothing I use it for except streaming old black and white movies on silent during parties to make myself seem cultured. Not worth more than 7.99 for window dressing, says I!
I guess everyone has different uses.
Let's see common carrier status for ISP's and then I'll have less of an issue paying Netflix more. I will not subsidize American ISP's through a netflix price bump though. no chance.
I just watched a few episodes of house of cards, and damn that show alone is worth the price.
I hope there isn't another huge outlash like a few years ago with Qwikster.
