Nearly a million people that don't have coeliac disease are going gluten-free
Over recent years, the number of people following a gluten-free diet has more than tripled, a new study has found, though the rates of coeliac disease - which causes gluten intolerance - have remained the same.

If you're on a low FODMAP diet, the easiest way to explain it to people FODMAP is to say gluten-free and possibly lactose-free. Low FODMAP diets can be very restrictive, much more so than gluten-free but they work for people with FODMAP intolerance.
