Glad to hear this. After watching the initial video of the arrest, I had similar thoughts. Unfortunately, we as a society still incorporate race and racism and racial stereotyping into our visual filter.
Honestly, I think it might have been a little bit of both.
I tend to agree, because it is unlikely that anyone in this country does not have even a little bit of racial stereotyping within them, whether they are conscious of it or not. It will inevitably have some level of influence over the choices one makes in these situations, as disappointing as that may be.
Thank you, at least someone in this mess is sane.
the problem is with the system when 35% of the US prison population is black, while only 15% of the US population is black.
Which system? That 35% lines up with the percentage of violent crime committed. Seems your saying culture is not a contributing factor, .........just arrests.
