I listened to a podcast the other day which is topical. The defendant was on trial for a crime he didn't commit and the evidence was circumstantial HE was telling his court appointed non-criminal attorney to take a plea deal! Even though he didn't do the crime! Because, to do so meant 1 to 2 years in jail whereas going to trial could mean 10+ years. It's flabbergasting to say the least. (The case got thrown out b/c geee, the evidence was poor and a bunch of other stuff.)
My point, if any system needs a complete overhaul it's the so-called "justice" one. Won't happen though. (Okay, now to find happy news, where are those Corgi videos?)
That's exactly how they force people to confess to crimes even if they didn't commit them, right?
