I listened to a podcast the other day which is topical. The defendant was on trial for a crime he didn't commit and the evidence was circumstantial HE was telling his court appointed non-criminal attorney to take a plea deal! Even though he didn't do the crime! Because, to do so meant 1 to 2 years in jail whereas going to trial could mean 10+ years. It's flabbergasting to say the least. (The case got thrown out b/c geee, the evidence was poor and a bunch of other stuff.)
My point, if any system needs a complete overhaul it's the so-called "justice" one. Won't happen though. (Okay, now to find happy news, where are those Corgi videos?)
