As a rule I try to stay out of department store bathrooms. Not because of gender issues, lord knows I have walked into many bars bathrooms to see different genders, but because the upkeep is not that great. What we can do is have the old one stall - locked door bathroom that is absolutely gender friendly. But a bathroom like that is not very bladder friendly because of the long wait time for it to open up.
