Just imagine. A world where we don't say to our kids "work hard so you can have a good career", instead we say "work hard to make your dreams come true". What do you want to do? Make a brilliant cartoon loved by all? Unify the four fundamental forces of the universe? Go to Pluto? Make the biggest sandwich ever made? Become the best football player? Or even just plain and simple nothing? Do it, no 'but you need to make money to survive' bullcrap. The machines have handled all the menial and meaningless tasks. Nobody has to waste their life doing what they don't want to just to survive. That would be quite a day to behold.
I would be indeed. I am optimistic about the future, lets see how it turns out I guess!

I think it'd the moment in time when our current economic strategy fails. But i'm not sure.
Exactly. With the way the current economic strategies work it'll throw us into the biggest recession in history with all the poverty and misery that entails. And sadly, there's too much inertia to avert that very predictable outcome.
That's if we survive the sixth mass extinction (not to mention global warming) that is happening right now. Seems unlikely but I'd say drastic action needs to be taken to prevent that. It doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon unless everyone who really cares stands for it. That would also be quite a day to behold. Haha.

Well high school teachers have only a 0.8% chance of being automated, so I'll be sure to say hi to you all standing in the unemployment line! :D
