Anyway, she was driving somewhere with her kid. Middle of the night, was speeding a bit since she was tired and wanted to get home (let's call it... 45 mph?). Suddenly, over the bend, there was a cow in the left lane.
It wasn't moving and was contentedly eating grass on the side of the road. So, she went over into the other lane to go around it... Only to note (briefly and with some distress) there was a second cow behind the first.
So, she slammed into cow #2 going about 50 mph (since she sped up slightly to get around the first cow). Anyway, hit it full blast, it slid up the hood of the car, bashed out the windshield, and (somehow) managed to blow some shit and blood flurry all over the inside of the car- covering her as well as all of the upholstery. Thankfully, my little niece in her carseat was soundly protected from the crash.
Best part of it was that she was in a tight place at that time, so could only pay to get the front end fixed. Ended up driving the cow poop mobile for several months before selling it off. Had to pay for the (now deceased) target of her poor driving decisions as well. That was a bit pricy, too.
Anyway, I have nothing interesting to add to the news story, I just like telling people about her hitting a cow.
My sister hit a cow once.
