    I make my own soup and if I have my own broth I will add some salt,but if I use store broth I do not add salt. There is enough salt in the store bought broth I feel I don't need anymore. I will add other spices or herbs to add to the taste.

      I do the exact same thing, sometimes I just don't have the time to make a soup broth from scratch in that case there is no additional salt necessary. Extra spices / herbs are an absolute must, if only people knew how amazing soups can be if the proper spices are used :)

        /u/drunkenninja if you find anymore links on this(I will do the same) please post them. I wonder about salt intake as much as I do sugar intake. I see the article says the study was not funded by anyone in the salt industry and so it is more believable to me,but I am not convinced yet!
