    Sure. Money is power. In a capitalist society, money buys labor, which means money gets people to do what you want.

    The problem is, unless you refer to some obscure underdeveloped society (like the Yanomami, or the Hopi), this is the case everywhere.

      You pretty much defined modern "legal" slavery. Get big, get enough money, why force people to do what you want when you can just wave some much needed money in front of their faces... Not like people can just setup camp and live off the land like they used to back in the day .
