Lucky you. I have a friend who only recently added an adblocker cause he felt pages were getting slower and slower and ads were overriding the pages he was trying to read. Once I was looking at a page he was viewing. At the top of the page was a huge banner ad with a stack of animated acorns, then to the right, all the way down the page, the animated acorns were falling. There was no way to stop it and it was extremely irritating. Meanwhile, the text that he wanted to read, was squished off to the left as if it were a mere afterthought. On some websites I've seen, even using an ad blocker,a huge message will appear saying:"this ad will finish in 2 minutes" and there is a little countdown. What they forget is the Internet is NOT commercial tv and I'm not at their mercy. Any time I see something like that,I hit the back button and never visit the website again. One website I used to enjoy is now chock full of ads that can't be blocked, including those obnoxious windows that open from the right that show Oprah Winfrey crying, etc. They just love to annoy us.
