I actually don't mind a price increase. I think Netflix undercharges and the fact that they allow an entire family to share one Netflix account is amazing. This price is still nothing in comparison to cable. I am excited to see what kind of titles they get their hands on with access to greater revenue.

yup. $8 is a hell of a deal compared to cable. I've been a member for about a year, and every time I run out of things I want to watch, they add a bunch of new stuff. I'll happily pay $10 if it means more shows that I'm interested in.

Very true. think that $10 is the ceiling on price hikes before it strays away from "so cheap you don't need to think about it" territory. $15 and some people will think twice, even though it's still a great value.

Once netflix gets live sports, it's game over for traditional cable.

I wonder if Netflix has the infrastructure to handle live events? I think it's more likely that each sport will end up releasing its own network, like the WWE Network, but there's still way too much money to be made from the networks for the time being.

A moderate price increase is fair. Netflix has been a great service for us, and the amount of money we have already saved over cable is significant.
