I love Mint but I've had display issues on the Macbook Pro (screen goes completely black and have to restart). I think it's hardware specific and I have no problem recommending it to others.

Very true. think that $10 is the ceiling on price hikes before it strays away from "so cheap you don't need to think about it" territory. $15 and some people will think twice, even though it's still a great value.
