    [Wilmington, NC][garage rock] FREE CLINIC

    Wait It Out (album)

FREE CLINIC's sound reminds me of the lo-fi mix of The Strokes. A lot of their songs have the wall of noise coming at you with a twangy guitar line higher in the mix. My favorite song from this album is "Young" or "No More Problems".

    "Any Reason"

This is a funny ad, but a quality campaign nonetheless. It's eye-opening, realizing it would be silly for anyone to judge you for not wanting to smoke.

    Hey, Snapzu. Just made /t/quitsmoking

If you have been thinking about putting down the cigarettes recently, now is a good time to help me build a positive and supportive community over at /t/quitsmoking.

There is currently nothing there but I'd like a community to change that.

If you are interested in helping me moderate it, please let me know. I'm looking to spread the role.

/t/localmusic - a place to hear the different music scenes

The idea of this tribe is to share a small local artist along with 2 other local bands to give users insight as to the music scenes in a given city. Please come check it out and contribute!

Showcase your talent along with other local artists

Hey music makers! I just started a tribe called /t/localmusic where contributors must post 3 artists from a certain city with a brief little write-up about the bands/artists. I think this is a great opportunity for you all to promote yourself, promote fellow artists, and rep your city colors. It's just getting started and we would love to see more contributions. Ps, you don't NEED to feature your own stuff, but why the heck not?

What would YOU like to see?

    welcome

Hello everyone. Although a tribe like this one could theoretically be run without the help of a community, there would be no learning and limited fun. There would also be a pretty heavy bias. That's why I invite all of you to participate to help make this tribe as diverse as possible, as well as a launching pad for local artists that deserve another step.

I am open to all suggestions on what we can do to make this tribe better.

I am looking to the community to voice their opinions on what does or does not work in this tribe. In these early stages especially, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

[Bloomington, IN] [math rock] Caligula's Birthday Party

    https://caligulasbirthdayparty.bandcamp.com/track/caligulas-birthday-party

This was one of the first songs this foursome officially released, and it is an absolute piece of art. Truth be told, the mixing isn't all it could be, but it is still very catchy. Other notable tracks include "Myrae" from their second album, and "Celebration of Common Folk" off of their first one.

    I made a new tribe called /t/localmusic

Just started a tribe that I'm very excited about. The idea is to show off the small local music scene for a given city. Posters are required to showcase one band in the post, and reference at least two others in the same city to give us better taste of what kind of music is coming from where. I'm really excited to hear stuff from all over! Check it out and don't be shy!
