I remember in the 70s, it was global cooling. Then warming. Then climate change. Are we back to warming again? I can't keep up.

I'll posit, that yes, mankind has some sort of effect, but whatever it is doesn't matter, because nothing will be done. It may already be too late. Denver will be lovely when it's shorefront property, I suppose.

Edit: "wrong opinions" are starting to garner downvotes here. I hope this place doesn't turn into reddit-lite.

I remember in the 70s, it was global cooling.

Hopefully science will, one day, have progressed far enough for us to know whether your face will get stuck like that. Or if sitting too close to the television will make you go blind. You know, the way we finally found out what happened to that white dog poop from the Seventies.

      Then warming. Then climate change.

When you put a kettle on and crank up the stove, what do you think is going to happen?

Are we back to warming again?

      Oh, you noticed?

whatever it is doesn’t matter, because nothing will be done

Nothing being done is a different thing than it doesn’t matter.

It may already be too late.

Not if there are expected future profits at risk, apparently.

So anyway, you were saying? Are all of Kavanaugh’s accusers liars, like Trump’s victims, or are they all telling the truth, like Bill Clinton’s?

After watching today's (much delayed hearing), yes, I believe Kavanaugh's accusers are all liars, in a smear campaign largely organized by Feinstein. She had Ford's letter since July, didn't address it at the earlier hearings, and waited until the 11th hour to leak it.

When that dog didn't hunt, here come some more accusations, again without credible evidence. (You continued to go to parties where girls were routinely drugged and pulled trains?)

I can't even remember the whole list of Bill's bimbo eruptions. Broaderrick had a pretty strong case for rape.

Were ALL of his accusers truthful? I have no idea.

      Global warming doesn't exist.

If it does exist, it's not warming enough to worry about. It's just a natural process.

And if it is warming too much, we can't do anything about it, anyway.

So it might as well not exist. Repeat from the beginning as necessary

What can I, as an individual, do? Little that's impactful, except maybe stop burning tires to celebrate Earth Day. /s

What can the US, as a country, do? Pay large sums of money to China and India to reduce CO2 emissions? Or would just raising taxes on the entire GDP in the guise of carbon credits help?
