The powder isn't very highly concentrated, it's about 4 ounces for one drink. And it would burn going up your nose - it's alcohol, remember?

As I see it now, it's just a packet of the powder, not a drinking vessel. People would still need to find a cup and stir it. I personally think a flexible flask would be easier.

Filling that will hard alcohol would yield 5 drinks and take up less space than 5 packets of palcohol.

Something to note - this weighs the same as the equivalent amount of liquid alcohol because it is literally liquid alcohol suspended in the powder. So the main draw is that it doesn't need a rigid container like a liquid would and that it's a premixed cocktail. I personally don't think it will find any success as there's no reason to use it around the house, and it's not a huge advantage for hikers and outdoorsy people - single-shot size plastic bottles of vodka are pretty cheap and durable, and you could just mix some with water + powdered lemonade to get a similar tasting drink to the lemon drop one.

Any musician could tell you it's (obviously) not true - it's not how many hours you practice, it's how you practice. First of all, you have to be lucky from birth because not everyone has the potential to be a star. Second, you have to put hard work into it - so many talented people don't become anything because of a lack of discipline or lack of interest in their area of talent. Third, you have to study with the right people - if you don't pick your mentors carefully you won't be able to reach your potential. Fourth, back to practicing, you have to learn how to practice. Sitting there for four hours playing the same thing over and over again like a zombie doesn't do you any good.

Is she sponsored by Vitamix? It's definitely a great blender, but not the only great one. "Vitamix Cheesecake".

I can't believe that stainless steel + black leather band is over $1000. It'll be worthless in 3-4 years.

There are 5 verified people left in the world that were born before 1900. Incredible. I'll bet by 2115 they'll be a lot more people that were born in the 1900s. Assuming we don't destroy the earth before then :).

This is sad simply because of their legacy, but whether it was from pressure from EA or not, bombing the latest SimCity did not help. The spun off Sims team in 2006 probably did a number on the studio, as none of their games after that (Spore and SimCity 2013) had the legacy their previous titles did.

You can get good chicken here, but sometimes it's not easy. It's not just the size that they raise the chicken to be, it's the method of storing the meat. "Air chilled" chicken is more expensive, but tastes much better and the results of cooking with it are much better. I made baked wings with standard US chicken and then air chilled US chicken, the texture of the air chilled was amazing and had a crispier skin.

Agreed - that is definitely the future. It's not a matter of if, but when. I'm hoping the government eventually steps in on data caps and we can get decent priced 5G Internet with at least a few hundred GB.

"65,000 times faster than current 4G technology" is false. BBC says "More than 65,000 times faster than average 4G download speeds" which is an important distinction. BBC's is at least technically correct, but comparing controlled tests in ideal conditions to an actual average of a countrywide rollout is slightly misleading. 65,000 times faster is assuming average 4G download speed at 16mbps. 4G in certain areas can get up to 100mbps in the real world.
Details aside, I'm happy to see extremely fast wireless connections become a reality. When 5G rolls out, assuming the slow development of fiber in the US, it very well might surpass home internet speeds in many areas.
