Taylor Swift calls Apple Music free trial 'shocking, disappointing' in open letter
Taylor Swift has just posted an open letter to Apple entitled "To Apple, Love Taylor" explaining why she's holding back her latest album, 1989, from the new Apple Music streaming service.

She has gotten greedy.
Ohh the negative effects of money and greed.
As if we didn't already know this.
She's right Apple has enough to pay for three months, and I think its weird that just because people who use it aren't paying, Apple isn't either. But with this and the Spotify thing earlier, I think she really just needs to get her label to pay her more. Plus, with both Spotify and Apple music, it's not as simple as "I'm giving them my content, they should pay me (more)!". The streaming, whether for cheap on the consumer end or outright free, also helps people see that they like her music. This leads to at least more concert revenue (the real money maker for Swift and others), more merchandise purchases, etc.
