Pope tells atheists: You don't have to believe in God to go to heaven
In comments likely to enhance his progressive reputation, Pope Francis has written a long, open letter to the founder of La Repubblica newspaper, Eugenio Scalfari, stating that non-believers would be forgiven by God if they followed their consciences. Why would atheists care? ;)
In reality,we don't. He likes to pretend we do and send a warm cuddly message to the masses, but it's bases on bs/
Dear Pope Francis,
You don't need to be an atheist to stop existing altogether upon death, either.
Yes, we've had this discussion before. And no, it doesn't mean atheists can remain atheists and still go to heaven. Even if that's what Pope Francis I meant to say, it doesn't count as official doctrine unless the bishops are in unity with it and they are not. The Catholic Church's official position has been and remains that anyone can seek "salvation" but that they have to do it through the Church in order to succeed. Since I have no intention of ever offering my support or allegiance to that corrupt body of accessories to pedophilia, I cannot go to heaven even if I believed in it.
It would appear we are in the same boat. Chuckle Lots of people praise this pope, but if you have seen one pope, you have seen them all. They won't change and and their stance on atheists, women, and gays, which is a generous chunk of humanity, will also never change. I don't know what makes what he says any better that what others of his ilk have said. I'm not seeing it.
The primary difference between this pope and his predecessors is that his predecessors never engaged the services of a Fox News media consultant.
Ahhhh...Fox news still exists? /s
