    Well, since the malware accused him of child porn, and he felt guilty enough to take it seriously, and he had the ability to kill his own son, it makes me wonder if he had been abusing the boy. Or perhaps it's less sinister and in that culture he thought that his son would suffer a lifetime of shame for having a father who looked at child porn. But since he showed that he could physically hurt his child, I fear the worst. I feel sorry for the son either way.

      More likely it's the second option. Watching porn is shameful enough in small towns and going to jail many times worse so the son would be forever "marked". It was mostly a reaction of panic, very sad outcome.
