Hell, people were downloading shitty ascii art porn and 4-bit porn from BBS'es by the boatload way before anyone outside of a big university had heard of email. Actually the reasons that make the Internet a cornucopia of porn are the same reasons why the Internet is a free communication platform. Porn is a sort of canary for freedom of speech.

For anyone who bothered to actually read the pledge, which obviously doesn't include the author of the PC World article, it clearly states that it wants the President to enforce existing federal laws against child porn "within the limits set forth by the First Amendment", and to work with the porn industry to "step up voluntary efforts to reduce the threat of the Internet-enabled sexual exploitation of children."

But no, please go ahead and tell me how awful Trump is for signing a pledge to fight child porn.
