I'm running GalliumOS on my ex-Chromebook. It's lightweight and is designed for use on Chromebooks which is nice. It's quick to install which is handy because I sometimes just do a fresh install if an issue comes up. It runs things like VS Code, Kodi and the basics without any problems.
I gave POP_OS a quick look at the weekend but didn't give it long enough to get any kind of a feel for it.

I tired Bodhi a while back because I'd read about the Enlightenment desktop and wanted to give it a try. I don't think I kept it for long. I always seemed to fall back to MInt.

When I was at school I learned on a Commodore PET. My first little computer was a ZX Spectrum and we used a BBC Micro when I was doing my apprenticeship. Loading from a cassette player was fun times. I had the programmable joystick add-on for the Spectrum for games like Jetset Willy, Manic Miner, Hunchback and Chuckie Egg. Things have definitely moved on since them days.

AIM, MSN Messenger and ICQ were all the ones used back in the day. Used to spend loads of time on Usenet, have the IRC chat room going and at least one of those messaging apps running all at the same time.

Never knew that about ICQ. MSN Messenger was the primary form of contact between me and my now ex-wife when we first started to talk in the early 2000s.
My first PC was a DX2-66, 4Mb of Ram and (I believe) a 40Mb hard drive. It was the computer I used to install Linux for the first time. Mandrake Linux was the first distro I experimented with.

I used it briefly a few years ago. I think there was something I couldn't figure out so switched to another one. I tended to switch around a lot. I'm running GalliumOS at the moment but might give this studio a play to see how it goes.

Totally agree. I run uBlock Origin, uBlock Origin Plus and Privacy Badger to cut down on all the tracking and ads as much as I can. I'm good with sites earning a little revenue by unobtrusive means.
